Integral Education aims at the development of all aspects of human personality in a manner that it leads to Total Human Excellence - Development of the body, mind and the spirit. The Sathya Sai System of Education is an integral system of education, where equal emphasis is given to every aspect of a student’s personality. The system is a wonderful synthesis of the head, hand and heart, as Baba says, the 3H formula i.e. education for the mind (Intelligence and Discrimination)fitness for the body (Ability and Perfection) and spiritual nourishment for the soul (Love and Compassion)

Annual Sports and Cultural Meet 2016

Wednesday, January 27, 2016 - Evening

The evening celebrations for day two of the third Annual Sports and Cultural Meet 2016 was a treat to the senses, albeit with a touch of humour.

Bhagawan arrived in the Sri Sathya Sai Premamrutham auditorium amidst vedic chants. Students from all the campuses of the Sri Sathya Sai educational institutions were present, eagerly waiting to receive Bhagawan, some to catch His attention while others to simply bask in His presence. The loving Lord too reciprocated by talking to a few and receiving letters from some, before sitting on His chair.

The proceedings began with the invocation by the grade 10 students of the Prashanthi Bala Mandira, and the first year Pre-University students of the Prashanthi Niketnam, Chikkaballapur campus.

This was followed by a drama titled “Moving in the Immovable”, which was a collective presentation by the students of the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Kendra, Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva High School and the Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva PU College, Muddenahalli campus. The play was a humorous take on an interesting journey of a young boy named Archie, along with Jesus Christ....

The distilled wisdom of Jesus Christ was beautifully brought out by the protagonist Archie, who believed that God was somewhere up beyond the universe and galaxies.
Thursday, January 28, 2016 - Evening

The last two evening sessions of the Sri Sathya Sai Sports and Cultural Meet 2016 were a spiritual melting pot, with inspiring speeches and insightful enactment of dramas.  The evening session on the third day, was no different.

Bhagawan arrived at the Sri Sathya Sai Premamrutham auditorium at 6.30pm. Vedic chants, Poorna Khumbam and mellifluous bhajans welcomed the Lord into the auditorium. The evening session began with the invocation by grade six students of the Sri Sathya Sai Prema Niketanam, Bijapur campus, Karnataka State.

Knowledge and education is necessary for each one of us.  But there is certainly more to this. We need a lighthouse that gives direction and purpose to our life. Bhagawan, the divine beacon and source of all knowledge, continues to guide us through our journey of life. Swami’s Teachings and personal experiences connected with His Teachings, have always been endearing and inspiring to read.

The second volume of the Sri Sathya Sai Uvacha Kannada edition, was offered at the Lotus Feet of Bhagawan.

You cannot win the grace of God by empty rhetoric. It is only through devotional singing suffused with Bhava, Raga and Thala, that Divinity can be attained, says Baba.

The fourth day of the Sri Sathya Sai Annual Sports and Cultural Meet was a testimony to this; it was a heart warming confluence of fine art and music that was on display. Proceedings of the evening began  as  soon  as  Bhagawan  arrived  at the  Sri  Sathya  Sai Premamrutham auditorium to the mellifluous bhajans sung by His students.

Swami has always said, the purpose of all that we do is self-transformation. And only selfless service can encourage a person to reach the higher state of humanity. He has reminded us that “All service should be regarded as an offering to God, and every opportunity to serve should be welcomed as a gift from God. Service should be done in this spirit.”

Service, in other words is “Love made manifest”. And one person who ONLY lived as Swami often says, ‘Jesus First; Others Next, Yourself Last, is Sri Indulal Shah, grandsire of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations! His steadfastness in pursuing a spiritual life, dovetailing service with humility, has made him an epitome of the often quoted 5Ds – Duty, Devotion, Discipline, Determination and Discrimination. Many say Sri Indulal ji’s undeterred and single-minded commitment towards the Lord’s mission is a result of his unwavering devotion and selfless love! Even today, he has only one thing to say – ‘Give me some work that I can do for Swami!’

To celebrate Sri Indulal ji’s 96th birthday, a cake was cut and.....
