DOMAIN NAMES COUNT REPORT FOR JANUARY 2016

In the January 2015, we had 1,542 new domain registrations, 1,029 renewals and 41 transfers. In January 2016, we have 2,203 new domain registrations, 1,375 domain renewals and 80 transfers. Fellowship and NextGen@ICANN Applications Open for ICANN56
lCANN has launched the applications for both the NextGen@ICANN and Fellowship Programs at ICANN56, which would hold in Panama City, Panama in June 2016. This opportunity remains open until 19 February 2016 and successful candidates will be announced on the ICANN website by the 25th of March 2016. Only those who had participated in at least one ICANN Fellowship can apply. This is as a result of the focus at the event, which would be on policy making and ongoing work within the ICANN Communities. Therefore only those Alumni of the Program who are currently actively engaged in one of the ICANN Multi-stakeholder Model Communities are eligible to participate.

The ICANN Fellowship program seeks participants from developing countries of the world. This is so as to help create a broader base of knowledgeable constituents to engage in the Multi-stakeholder process and become the new voice of experience in their regions and beyond. Find out more about applying to the Fellowship »
The NextGen@ICANN program remains an education and awareness based experience, designed for a smaller, younger, and more region-specific group of participants. Find out more about applying to the NextGen@ICANN Program »
