Winter's a Great Time to Write

Winter's a great time to write and edit and be wrapped up cozy and warm, with fluffy socks and a nice cup of tea! There is a time to hunker down and work away in the dark, and then there is a time to step out into the light.

At the moment I'm furiously working away on edits for my current work in progress. But last week, here in Asheville we got some snow for the first time this season, so it was time to take a break and go out and play. The kids had a wonderful time and my wee Jack Russell was in her element. The snow was about ten inches high and she's only fourteen. Here's a wee picture:



At the end of the year I looked into goal setting and some of that spilled over into January. I've also been delving into to how to deepen character, and another lovely thing that happened was one of my articles was published in Writer's Digest; about how to write a first draft quickly.
