Welcome to the February Business Bulletin

Council will be hosting a number of workshops for businesses in 2016, for seasoned business owners, up and comers and budding entrepreneurs. We kick off with 'Business Planning Essentials' on Wednesday 2 March  2016. Details of our workshops are in this newsletter. 

This month's business profile is about Footscray Milking Station, the hip little corner cafe situated at 35 Bunbury Street Footscray, and a 2016 Maribyrnong City Council Civic Award nominee.

Local Industry Fund for Transition Grants
The Victorian Government recently announced the $5 million LIFT Program that supports job creating projects in Melbourne's West. The fund will provide grants of up to $5 million to support capital investment that will create sustainable jobs and economic activity.

Footscray Milking Station

Footscray Milking Station started as the hidden gem of Footscray but is now a popular haunt for locals and beyond since opening its doors in 2012.
Situated on the corner of Bunbury and Cowper Street, this cosy little café has old world retro charm, with just the right amount of modern flair to keep its punters coming back to eat delicious fare and drink good coffee whilst soaking up the afternoon sun that filters through the café.
With an intriguing and delicious menu, utilising local produce and serving up dishes with lots of  International flavours, Footscray Milking Station is open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch.
