Music for Youth Regional Music Festival
King Harold Academy's ukulele and guitar ensemble, 'The King's Strings', travel to Watford on Sunday, March 6, to take part in a country-wide music festival.
Some of the 22-strong ensemble only picked up a ukulele for the first time last week and face an intensive rehearsal schedule ahead of the big day.
Head of Music Diana Russell said: “They are all doing really well and have already learnt their first song.”
If successful, the group might be invited to perform at the National Finals in July, and maybe eventually at the Royal Albert Hall, London.
