The merger with the neighbouring ski resort of Fieberbrunn as of winter season 2015/2016 will see a ski area with 270 kilometres of piste which has been audited not only as the most diversified, but also the largest inter-connecting ski area in Austria.
Also new is the "Steinbergpiste" in Leogang. Since winter 2014/2015 the 10 seater "Steinberg" lift was opened and this season the new "Steinberg" piste will make the offer complete. The 4.7 km long piste was constructed with the highest possible consideration for the environment.

| Ski Marathon Saalfelden |
The 9th Ski Marathon in Saalfelden is the cross-country skiing event of the winter season 2015/2016.
This huge event which will take place on 7th February 2016 offers excitement for both profis and hobby cross-country skiers. For children and students there will be a mini Ski Marathon held the day before.

| The Fire Bird |
Theatre entertainment for the whole family: After the huge success of the "Snow Queen" the previous year, the theatre will present the successful play "The Fire Bird" by Dirk Böttger. The production of Reinhold Tritscher will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the theatre and take place in a heated circus marquee at the Steinberg stadium in Leogang.

Also new are the weekly touring evenings. Every Tuesday and Friday between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. on the Steinberg piste (No. 92+92, end: top station Steinberg lift) "ascend with the skis" and then "wedel your way down".
