Skijoring is a winter sport that partners a cross country skier with a dog in harness as a pastime to embrace and enjoy winter!  Skijoring is fun for you and your dog! Learn about the history of this wonderful sport, how to get started, what equipment is most suitable for you and your dog, and what dog doesn't love skijoring?  (hint, almost all dogs totally love it!) 
Skijoring can be as easy as going for a walk with your dog or as exhilarating as flying down the trail at 20mph!  A well trained dog is essential to getting started.  Additional training gives you the control needed when you get on snow. Wednesday, February 10 - 6:30pm Winter Camping: Beyond the Basics
This clinic is for those that have already attended Winter Camping: The Basics or those who have winter camped a few times and are looking to expand their knowledge. Bear Paulsen will discuss choosing a campsite, shelter options and the all important – how to sleep comfortably through the long winter nights.  He'll cover winter travel from backpacking on foot to pulling a pulk sled through the BWCA.  Sled design will also be covered. Free Yoga – every Saturday morning. Iyengar Yoga, named after the late B.K.S. Iyengar, is Hatha Yoga with the aid of many props and attention to detail.  It is a slower-paced class that focuses on alignment within the poses which creates stability in the joints while strengthening the muscles.  This method helps to cure and prevent injuries, allowing it to be accessible to all despite age or physical limitation. Shannyn Joy Potter is a certified Iyengar yoga instructor, one of only twenty in the state of Minnesota. Learn the basics or polish your skills with Midwest Mountaineering's Brian Bahn.  Equipment, clothing, where to ski, skate (freestyle) ski technique will be covered.  30 minutes indoors, then 1.5 hours on snow.
