We're beginning a new series this weekend on the Book of Revelation.  Join us as we spend a season developing a better understanding of this scripture!

Ash Wednesday

Has the season of Lent sort of snuck up on you? Did you kind of forget about Ash Wednesday? That's okay--same here! In any case, we will gather as a community to welcome this season next Wednesday, on February 10th, at 5:00pm Uptown and at 7:00pm Westside.

Baptism!

Next weekend, there will be an opportunity for baptism.  If this is something you've been considering for awhile, and you'd like to take the next step toward being baptized, send an email and we can make it happen next Sunday!

The Fogt family (Ryan, Anna, Abigail, & Andrea) has been at Central for the past six years, and Andrea just became a member of our Leadership Board!

Read more about this family in the Weekly Feature!
"About six years ago, my husband, Ryan, accepted a faculty position teaching meteorology at OU. After we moved to Athens, we visited a handful of churches, but we found a home at Central and have been here ever since.

"Since being at Central I have been involved in small groups, volunteering in the nursery, and serving on the hospitality and meal teams. Serving at Central is a way I can help more behind the scenes to better build up and assist others. Since we do not have family in the area, Central is our family in Athens, and part of being in a family is helping out when and where we are able.

"As a mother, I understand the desire to see young children grow in their knowledge and love of the Lord. Having our girls help as I bake snacks for weekend services or go with me as I take a meal to families, I am modeling love in action. Attending a weekly small group and women's group also demonstrates to them that learning more about Jesus and his impact in our lives is an ongoing journey but one we don't have to take alone. I love that my Central friends and our children...our community...are all growing together."

Andrea Fogt recently joined Central's Leadership Board, along with Kim Brooks & Michael Adams.

Andrea and her family have been at Central for almost 6 years.  She and Ryan love cheering on the Creighton Bluejays (they met at Creighton University) and having random dance parties or game nights with with daughters, Anna (7) and Abigail (5).
