High Tech Rochester Presentation: 2/9

Doug Buerkle '95S (MBA), executive director of NEXUS-NY at High Tech Rochester (HTR), will outline the organization's work and newest initiatives at this information session at noon on Tuesday, February 9, in Gleason 118. This Rochester-areanot-for-profit has incubated more than 75 companies, offering them hands-on coaching, mentoring and other assistance to accelerate business growth. Pizza will be served. KEY Program Info Session: 2/11

Learn about the Kauffman Entrepreneurial Year (KEY) program at an information session Thursday, February 11, at 3:30 p.m. in Lattimore 306A. The program offers accepted students a fifth, tuition-free year of college to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors. The program is supported by the College and the Ain Center for Entrepreneurship. The spring KEY application deadline is Thursday, March 17. For more information, contact KEY program coordinator Hillary Tatar.


Mark Ain Workshop #2 Covers Marketing: 2/22

The 2016 Mark Ain Business Model Workshop Series continues with "Managing Marketing as a Process," presented by Lomax Campbell, CEO of Black-Owned Business Rochester, on Monday, February 22, from 4:00 to 5:15 p.m. in Gleason 120. Workshops are free and open to all members of the University and the general public. The competition (submissions are due in mid-April) is open to currently enrolled University students at any level of study. Pizza and refreshments will be provided at each workshop. Attendees must register online or call 276-3500. Those who register in advance will receive a complimentary River Campus parking pass.


Entrepreneur-in-Residence Office Hours: 2/25

Need advice on launching a new venture? Schedule an appointment with the Ain Center's Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR), John Hawkins, vice president of Paramax Corp. and president of Benchview Management Corp., on Thursday, February 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Gleason 243. Appointments are required and can be scheduled using our online booking system: book with John Hawkins or call 585-276-3500.
