It's 7:50 am, and the sound of the bus signals that it's time to greet the first round of students.  Their dusty feet stomp down the steps.  They've barely woken up yet they slide into line where a teacher snuggles close to say hello.  Day after day, this teacher has greeted them, gradually becoming a source of stability in their otherwise chaotic home life.  Interns at Freedom Christian School are these life-changing, God-glorifying, passionate teachers.  In a single year, they shepherd a flock of 30 students in such a way that their students feel loved, which is no small task in a culture rampant with poverty, broken families, and ridicule.  Earth-defying, out-of-this-world, God-powered super heroes might be a better description of them, and we'd love to have more fighting in Christ's name for our students.  If you have any interest, contact Toni. She'd love to talk to you about how a great, big God equips willing hearts to be a Freedom school intern.
Freedom Christian School is reaching new heights!  The second story is going up!  More classrooms, restrooms, and office space!  We can always use help.  Contact us about planning a missions trip!
Our apartment building is in the finishing stage.  The Hilgemans have moved in and we're next!  The others are not far behind. The building has its own solar power, clean water system and (possibly the best part) proper plumbing. We can now flush toilet paper!
To wrap things up here are a few more pics.  Check out this cute group who earned lunch with the principal!  They also took a tour of our new apartment building - the kids are standing in our shower :).  Also you can see my crew approves of the "new to us" vehicle that God recently provided!!
