February 2016
Volume 2, Issue 6
It may have been snowing in recent days, but we're well into a new spring semester here on campus. Our students have returned from studying across the globe over winter session, and are sharing their experiences in a new video series. Today, we cut the ribbon on our new Advising and Career Center in the English Department, and our new Multi-Modal Imaging Center is slated to open in mid-March. In our continuing commitment to diversity and inclusion, we've established a strategic planning team in the college and appointed chief diversity advocates as part of UD's action plan. I thank Alyssa Ashley, Yasser Payne, Stephanie Kerschbaum and Lindsay Hoffman for joining the team, and Jissell Martinez, Colette Gaiter and Karl Booksh for their willingness to serve in the important role of advocate. And as always, I hope you'll join us at one of our many public events, like the REP's upcoming production of "To Kill A Mockingbird", our new arts-based "Same Story" Different Countries project, or our film and lecture series, "Engaging Race and Ethnicity in the Americas."
