'What is your Smart City?' Photo Competition & Networking Event

Friday 5th February
MK College - Gallery 200

At the beginning of this month we held a very successful Networking Event, which was hosted by the Silbury Campus of MK:College. The event was attended by over 80 people interested finding out more about MK:Smart and our interactive website, Our MK

The event's highlight was an exhibition of the photos submitted to MK:Smart Citizens Photo Competition. During the event we announced the winners of the competition - these are:
  • The Judges' Winner: photograph by Simon Beckett “The Future is Solar!”(thanks to Wolverton Community Energy for submitting the photo!)
  • Online vote Winner: photograph by Paul Bond: “Take action, think smart, one future, our future….” (Paul received a fantastic number of 532 online votes!)
  • Event vote Winner: the photograph by James Rayner: “Cedar Barn Passivhaus”.

Congratulations to the winners and huge thanks to all of the remaining entrants.

If you are a student or member of staff at UCMK, you can see the photos displayed at the UCMK Cafe. The photos will then be exhibited at Acorn House on Midsummer Boulevard in the first two weeks of March. We encourage you to come along to admire them!
