The European Commission is carrying out a "Study on passenger transport by taxi, hire car with driver and ridesharing in the EU" and they will use the results of the study for an informed assessment of possible further regulation or enforcement. Through our participation in the European Disability Forum, EGDF members have this extremely important opportunity to inform the Commission of your position.
There are only 11 questions in this survey, which is intended for consumer associations and transport users' associations, so the questions are general and wide-ranging. In answering on behalf of guide and assistance dog users you may skip any questions that are not relevant.
Please download and answer the questions and return your answers to info@EGDFed.org by 26 February -- or better still, do it RIGHT NOW!. We will compile the answers and forward them to the research team. I hope you will profit from this chance to have the voice of guide dog users heard so that we can influence legislators and the laws which fail to protect us in many parts of Europe.
