Ministry Budget is almost covered!

The current shortfall is down to $50 of the ministry budget amount required by Wycliffe before we are released to return to Papua. Originally, the shortfall was $1000 a month. We are continually amazed at the faithfulness and generosity of God's people! Our faith was stretched by such a large increase in such a short time. But we are praising God as we are so close to this goal with over a month left before our return to Indonesia. Many faithful partners have increased commitments, and several have began a new commitment. Many more have prayed and committed to praying for us.  It truly is a partnership to enable this work. We are so grateful and are looking forward to returning April 6th and continue to help bring God's Word to the isolated people of Papua, Indonesia. Please continue to pray with us for the remaining $50.

Visas are in Hand

Thanks for all your prayers as we renewed our Indonesian Visas. We are praising God that we have received our passports back with our visa entry stamps in them! This is a year long visa that we can renew up to 5 times making it good for almost 6 years in Indonesia!   We have also purchased our airline tickets and were blessed to find a really good deal!  Thanks for praying!

Some commonly asked questions....

What's your schedule like before you leave?
- March 4th - Pack up and move from Jefferson, OR to Spokane, WA
- March in Spokane- share at three churches, pack for Papua, temporarily home school the children
- April 1st - Drive to Seattle
- April 6th - Fly out of Sea-Tac to Indonesia

How long will you be in Indonesia this time?
The exact timing is flexible by Wycliffe with our family's needs. Though we haven't set a date, we feel between 2 and 3 years seems just about right.

How long do you feel called to missions with Wycliffe?
For the span of our career.

How do your children feel about moving back to Papua, Indonesia?
They feel a mix of happiness and sadness. They are glad to go back to the home and school and friends they know best, but are deeply saddened to be away from grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins that love them. We all wish we could live in Papua along with our family. It is really hard to say goodbye (again!) but are truly thankful that our family connection is so strong.

Grand Prix and Cheetahs!

The kids have been having a blast at Awanas this year and they all loved making and racing pinewood derby cars at the Awana Grand Prix. The kids learned even more about speed when all the cousins went to the Oregon Zoo in Portland and got a close up look at the world's fastest kitty!  Please be praying for our family as we have to say goodbyes to family and friends in the next few weeks.
This short video is about the Bible coming to the Kimyal people, just one of the 250+ languages groups of Papua Indonesia.
