A new study has provided more evidence of a link between paracetamol use in pregnancy and development of asthma in children.
Our Chairman Dr Jonathan Burdon, commenting in the media, reiterated the study authors' view that there is no need to change current recommendations. The Australian Asthma Handbook advises that women may take paracetamol during pregnancy if they have to, but should avoid unnecessary use.
New clinical trial for patients with persistent asthma

Liberty Asthma Quest is a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group study being held in 6 locations across Australia. The E-Quality Program aims to support small educational projects in member and associate member countries: ‘working locally, collaborating globally’.
