Jesse Owens Film Event

Race, based on the incredible true story of Jesse Owens, opens in theaters this weekend! The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Greater Washington, DC and The Ohio State University African American Alumni Society have a block of tickets for the 12:45 showing this Sunday, February 21, at the Regal Gallery Place theater in DC. Tickets are $15, and all proceeds benefit the OSUDC and OSUAAAS scholarship funds. Tickets are going fast, buy yours now on our website! Pick up your tickets at the theater, on the third floor, starting at 11:45am on Sunday.
 

Winter Social: Virginia Winery Tour

Caps vs. Blue Jackets

The Columbus Blue Jackets come back to DC on Monday, March 28! Whether you Rock the Red or you're a Jacket Backer, join OSUDC and alumni from other Ohio universities for this Metropolitan Division matchup! Tickets are $45 each and include a free tshirt. Buckeye Evening in the Capital

Save the Date! The Ohio State University Alumni Association, Inc. and Ohio State Alumni Club of Washington, D.C. invite you to a Buckeye Evening in the Capital on Wednesday, April 6, featuring Dr. Valerie Kinloch, professor of literacy studies and associate chair in the Department of Teaching and Learning as well as director of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion in the College of Education and Human Ecology. Join fellow alumni for dinner and a presentation from Dr. Kinloch, in which she addresses the importance of focusing on access, diversity, and justice within urban communities and the U.S. educational system.

It's almost softball time! We are currently forming our team for the 2016 season of Capital Alumni Network softball, and we want YOU. We are looking for men and women players, and we're also looking for help in managing the team. Email Jeff at athletics@osudc.org for more information.
 
John Glenn Washington Academic Internship Program Outreach
The John Glenn Washington Academic Internship Program is looking for mentors and possible internship opportunities in Washington, DC. The Program is expanding into the international agency fields, and environmental policy areas. If you would like more information on how you can "pay forward" and help the Program please contact Kathryn Hogan at hogan.124@osu.edu. Without the support of local alumni, this program would not be as strong as it is.
