Country Operations

Since November's call for requests, JIPS has a number of ongoing and upcoming missions. We are currently actively supporting exercises in Colombia, Kosovo, Myanmar, Iraq, Somalia, and Europe.

Trainings

JIPS is holding its first Profiling Coordination Training (PCT) of 2016 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 2-8 April, inclusive. Feinstein International Center (FIC) will co-host the training. The training will give participants the skills needed to successfully carry out a profiling exercise. Visit our PCT page to apply and find out more information. Applications close 10 March 2016. 

The second PCT of the year is tentatively planned for 12-17 June 2016, in Geneva, Switzerland.

Open Terms of Reference

Below are two open consultancies for upcoming projects with our partners. 

Profiling Consultant for Sweden
UNHCR Regional Representation in Northern Europe is looking for a Profiling Consultant to support a profiling survey of Afghan unaccompanied children seeking asylum in Sweden. This 2-month consultancy is based in Stockholm, with the start date as soon as possible. Excellent English skills and working knowledge of Swedish are required. Closing date for applications is 23 February 2016

Profiling Consultant for Iraq - Home-based
UNHCR Baghdad office is looking for a Technical Profiling Consultant to work home-based, providing technical support to a planned pilot profiling exercise in Iraq. The planned timing
of the exercise is the first half of 2016, with a start date for the consultancy as soon as possible. Knowledge of Arabic is an asset in this role. For more details on the vacancy and a detailed Terms of Reference, please contact Kathryn Lo (lok@unhcr.org).
