Next Teaching Topic at Calvary
Sunday, February 14 • 9:00 & 11:00 a.m. @ Calvary
Our teaching topic for this Sunday is “Following Jesus in Baptism." We are starting a new teaching series for Lent called "Who Do You Say I Am?” We’ll be looking at the early ministry of Jesus, particularly as Jesus enters into the world of various people in various real life settings.
Jesus entered this world and, in many ways, turned people’s ideas of God on their head.  Come and be encouraged and challenged by this examination of Jesus life’, and how this impacts us today!

Last year’s ski trip was EPIC!  This year we’ll be headed to Marmot Basin in Jasper!  The bus will depart from the Ramada Inn in Edmonton at 5:30 a.m. sharp (returning at 9 p.m. that evening).  Cost is $149.00 (includes lift ticket and transportation to/from Marmot Basin); students pay $139.00; transport only is $119.00.  Everyone is responsible for booking their own ticket at www.magicbus.ca.  The sooner you book, the better, as the bus will fill up quickly with bookings from other groups of people (be sure to pick the correct date and destination).  Contact Pastor Matt or Barbara Winzeler (780-999-4550) for more details!

Sabbath Rest Seminar Opportunity
Friday, March 18 @ Taylor Seminary
Taylor Seminary invites people to a lecture from Dr. Norman Wirzba, who will explore the wisdom and value in the practice of Sabbath rest.  There is a renewal that comes from rest that seems to come no other way; it can be argued that this rhythm has been woven deep into the design of creation, and underlies the model for healthy ministry.  For more info and to register, please go to:  www.taylor-edu.ca/events/wahl-lectures-2016.

Pray for Nancy McPherson,  as an infection has set in on one of her operated knees, requiring her to be admitted to the Misericordia Hospital.  Surgery will be required today to determine the extent of the infection.
