At GG HQ...
We're collecting a delicious mixture of craftsfolk, permaculture peeps, talented musicians, mavericks, radical poets, activists, ethical cafes and LOADS MORE...
LATEST LINE UP NEWS
Counting Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Ozric Tentacles, Bjork, Bob Marley, Fleetwood Mac, Ott and Shpongle amongst their influences, HOOPY FROOD play ethereal, danceable 'psy-groove-electro-rock' - fun festival music that gets into your soul. Don't miss them.
Punk/rave/disco unit DOHNUT have been taking venues by storm across Yorkshire, Lancashire, Glasgow, Bristol and London, supporting The Damned and helping raise funds for refugee solidarity with Funk The Borders. They'll have us moshin' our socks off with great big grins on our faces!
Dohnut
When we asked on facebook what bands you'd like to see at GG2016 this band kept cropping up. So by popular demand, we announce festival legends HERE & NOW. Be ready for some classic psychedelic space rock.
Last but definitely not least for today, the mesmerising TARANTISM will be back at GG, to tickle your toes with a deeply irresistable mix of folk, funk, dub, punk and fab lyrics ("Gotta get this tent up..." is so true it hurts).
MUCH MORE THAN MUSIC
Our Speakers' Forum will be close to the centre of site, on the edge of the Campaigns Field. In the evenings the Forum will be transformed into a Radical Cinema hosted by activist film collective Reel News.
The Crafts Area will have free 'taster' workshops for all ages, in addition to the usual in-depth sessions with talented craftsfolk who're keeping alive age-old traditions in blacksmithing, weaving, carving and more.
Our Permaculture Zone is growing each year - look out for the Earth Care, People Care and Fair Shares yurts, Forest Schools, Organic Tannery and welcoming community campfire.
The Mayflower Project will be running our Teens Tent and the much-loved totally awesome Parachute Club will be back with their unpredictable pop up party!
Hedgespoken folklorists will join SAM's Magic Hat Sauna in the Hill Village, and we've an addition to our array of alt-tech and off-grid wizards: SLiCK (Seriously Low Impact Cooking Kitchen) will bring along their solar ovens.
ASSISTED ACCESS
We are registering with Attitude is Everything and aim to keep improving accessibility at the Gathering. We received fantastic feedback last year from customers who stayed in our Assisted Access area - many thanks to co-ordinator Carole and her crew. If you'd like to find out more, please visit our website.
GET INVOLVED
Steward registration forms and information about getting involved behind the scenes at The Green Gathering are also available on our website.
Ticket price will rise closer to the event:
