Justice strides in 2015 – the smaller picture
Sometimes focusing on the bigger picture just does not work. Take rule of law in 2015. That year will go not down in history as a good justice year. For that I resort to a smaller picture: areas in which HiiL Innovating Justice has been active and where I do see improvement: measuring and innovation. 2015 has seen progress when it comes to the practice of measuring justice and the foundation has been laid for mainstreaming it more. For too long justice change has been organised and managed on the basis of beliefs, concepts, and ignorance. Hopefully this will result in a shift that will get more justice to more people. In this blog I elaborate. For here and for now: many thanks to all those inspiring people and organisations with whom we have had the honour to work with in the past year. That will continue in 2016.
