Important Billing Updates - Upgrade Now -  Please note the following two notices that will affect your billing process:
  • Offices currently using the Payer Inquiry Module are required to update to the current ChartMaker Medical Suite release due to the recent change in Change Healthcare’s website address. This upgrade must occur before March 26th, 2016. For the current release, please visit the Software Downloads page or select the option to upgrade under the Help section in ChartMaker Medical Suite Update. In addition, please review the Release Notes for the latest features.
  • Also prior to March 26th, your office must run the "Updates" button on the Insurance Billing tab and then run Billing Component Manager on all workstations, terminal servers and servers configured to submit electronic claims and retrieve MCDS and ERA files from Change Healthcare (Emdeon/NEIC).  The URL (Change Healthcare’s website address) has been modified due to the recent name change.  The old URL will no longer accept electronic claim transmissions or retrieve MCDS and ERA files.
Meaningful Use News and Updates - Please keep in mind that the Meaningful Use Attestation deadline is March 11th, 2016. Please be sure to select the correct certification number for ChartMaker Medical Suite based on the version(s) of the software you were using during your reporting period. One of the versions you select must be ChartMaker 2016For assistance with your Meaningful Use Attestation, please submit a training request form. For any questions on attesting, please see the Attestation User Guide.
New York Prescribers - MANDATORY E-Prescribe Deadline - If you are a provider or client in the state of New York, e-prescribing of both controlled and non-controlled substances  will become mandatory as of March 27, 2016. If you have not begun the process of e-prescribing, please contact our Sales department to get started. If you are currently e-prescribing but would like to begin the process of prescribing controlled substances electronically, please visit our Enrollments page to submit your EPCS enrollment. For more information on this mandate, please see the New York department of health website.
Horizon NJ Health and TriZetto Claim Submission- If you  have received a bulletin from Horizon NJ Health in regards to the transition to TriZetto for claims submission and ERA, please note that you will continue to submit your Horizon NJ Health claims to Change Healthcare. In return, Change Healthcare will forward these claims to TriZetto. You may continue using Payer ID 22326. Please do NOT mix this up with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield as Horizon BCBS claims will continue to use Payer ID 22099.
