Hi <<First Name>>,
Our thoughts can get us in trouble, can’t they? We experience something negative and have a corresponding emotion. Perhaps a negative comment was directed your way and you felt hurt. Feeling that way is very normal. What gets us into trouble is the negative thoughts entering our minds that we may hold onto.
Those thoughts can then turn into belief system which impacts how we view everything - ourselves, others, and God. A dozen of us spoke a bit about this at the Managing Depression talk at Bliss Spiritual Co-op in Mount Pleasant and it was great to hear personal stories from attendees. If you’re interested in the handouts from that discussion, you can access them here.
In March, I’m hosting additional free events, two at my Mount Pleasant office (and one online). Since the in-person events are limited to 7 people, RSVPs are definitely needed.
I’ll also do another round of group counseling for people who want to supplement their individual therapy or have limited funds. We’ll focus on our thoughts and behaviors using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. There’s also a course coming up at Seacoast this month I highly recommend.
Read more and register for these events below!
