"If you can remain present, that is to say,
if you can remain aware of the present moment of experience,
then even if a hundred thoughts pass through your mind
it's irrelevant because you won't be distracted by them.
"

-- Bardor Tulku Rinpoche

Construction Update

Not missing a beat, KPL’s construction team sprang into action in the new Losar year.

Dan Curtiss informs us that the porch project is on hold until the spring; current focus is on the second floor. Jeff Garden has been lending a regular hand with wiring upstairs. Kevin Nielsen is also working upstairs on framing according to Rinpoche’s specifications. Paul Vorel is busy working on the Main Shrine cabinetry. Dan has been assisting with casting all ornamentations for the lion throne for the main Buddha statue, which will be gold leafed by Mr. Lee. Lama Tratop is finishing the relief carving which will decorate the top of the main shrine columns.

The alarm system and HVAC installations are scheduled to begin soon.

Go KPL Construction Team!

Here are some recent photos of the new ornamentations. Lama Tratop is clearly enjoying this project.
