The Roman holiday celebrated like true gladiators if Julius Caesar had sailed to Alaska.

It turns out the big snow shovel and tire chains weren't needed this winter, so we pulled out the new mainsail instead. We are very pleased with how neat it is. And so pretty with the new logo. Now we just need a few more sailors to help raise it with us. More on that later.
Rick - Yep, Rick - the former captain of S/V BOB - helped Blain figure out where all the parts went to take the old sail of and to put on the new one. And he lent support and creative ideas when Blain was dropping bolts and tools into the harbor. We owe him our thanks for his amazing friendship.

Our great friends Lynne and Russell were available to help us raise it the first time on a gorgeous day in Sitka Sound. The whales seemed to appreciate the sight, too.
The middle of summer is filling quickly, but there are a few choice spots in June -August.

Don't forget that May actually tends to be our driest month, so don't overlook an adventure earlier in the summer.

The juiciest  trip left is our 10-day adventure to Glacier Bay National Park, leaving Juneau August 17. Prepare for a blown mind. It is truly everything you see in the documentaries. Glaciers calving, seabirds assembling, whales cavorting, sealions hunting, bears meandering, and once in a while wolves, moose, and orca doing their things. This place always amazes us. Few other boats have permits to enter this icy wonderland, and we are proud to offer a trip of a lifetime.

For more info on these and the rest of our adventures, see our available trips page.
Our best review EVER came from 8-year old Aven. Thank you!
We're weird and still dreaming of big snow, so recently took a short trip to Washington state for a little winter. Blain had almost as much fun waxing skis as skiing.
Thank you to our wonderful cousins Krista and J for an epic ski vacation.
Our very own Captain Blain is entering a new realm and teaching an Introduction to Sailing class in Sitka this May. As you can tell below, he's been diligently working on his course content and presentations....
We'll even hang the hammock. Let us know which trips you are interested in for 2016 or 2017
