China State Administration for Industry and Commerce suggests four types of goods not suitable for “Return of Goods Without Reasons

Recently, on the website of China State Administration for Industry and Commerce, the Administration published for public comments on the "Draft Guidance on Returns of Goods without Reasons within Seven Days of Online Purchase". The public may send the comments to the Administration on email to 12315@saic.gov.cn, or to post them to the Administration in Beijing by 5 March 2016.

Guangdong CIQ has launched Global Quality Tracing Code Service

From 1 January 2016, Guangdong CIQ, the Guangdong provincial quarantine and inspection branch of AQSIQ, has launched the platform of “Smart Inspection Port” ( 智检口岸), the first global quality tracing code service for goods import and export in China.  With the “CIQ Tracing Code” (CIQ溯源), consumers can scan the code attached on the goods, and find out the information such as the goods name, import pre-package certificates, and tracing certificates. In the first stage, the service can trace the information of some goods imported via Nansha Port of Guangdong Province. In later stages, the scope of tracing will be extended to all import and export goods.

Australian Rocklobster popularity grows in Chongqing City of Western China

Since the first consignment of Australian Rocklobsters arrived in Chongqing City in the new calendar year, the number of orders sent to Oka, one of E-commerce online shops kept growing. The Australian Rocklobsters were sold out in under a day. Oka Online Shop is is already famous in Chonqing City of Western China. The transactions are made through electronic Aka APP. Each Rocklobster has its only unique serial number for tracing back to it's source.

South Africa’s Abalone still a hot export to China despite economic downturn

The first Chinese Fishery Laboratory has been established in Fujian Province

The project of the first Chinese fishery key lab has passed the assessment by the experts organized by the Ministry of Science. The lab has been set up in Ningde City, Fujian Province. The main duties of the lab include: breeding of Yellow Croaker and other species.
