Project Empathy

A global service learning project in knowledge sharing

On February 1, 2016, Outernet and GEMS World Academy Chicago began a service learning project in their 7th grade class that they called "Project Empathy". We are excited to share Project Empathy publicly and invite you to join.

Over the course of the next several weeks, the students will:

Assemble a Project Empathy kit using a Raspberry Pi.
Think like editors: create and curate content to share with peers abroad.
Hear back from the recipient classroom via Twitter. Engage in cultural exchange.
Publish more content via Outernet's satellite broadcast.

We invite interested teachers, after school programs, and parents to join GEMS and participate in Project Empathy. Visit outernet.is/empathy.
