MAKE ROOM FOR MY SPIRIT
LIFE Devotions–Thurs. Feb. 25  

“Then he said to me, ‘This is the word of the LORD to
Zerubbabel saying, 'Not by might nor by power,
but by My Spirit,' says the LORD of hosts.’” 
–Zechariah 4:6 [NASB]
 

Stop trying to do it on your own. Stop trying to carve a path without my Spirit’s guidance. I want to show you a better way, an easier way, but you must listen to my voice. I have a word for you, a word that will pierce through the enemy’s plans like a double edged sword. My Spirit and not your strength will get it done. Follow my presence and I will fight your battles. I will give you the victory so you can recognize how mighty I am. What I’m able to do through my Spirit is superior to any effort from your part. Rest in me, seek me, find refuge in me. I have answers you know nothing about that will give you access to places you have never known. There are doors waiting to be opened, assignments waiting to be given, dominion waiting to be granted. But you must make room for me in your life and abide in my presence. Simplify. Come into divine order. Jump off the carousel of mundane responsibility that makes you weary and leads you no where. Be wise and courageous. Trim what’s redundant and unnecessary. Discard what seems to add comfort but subtracts the Comforter from your life. Why have bigger and better at the expense of my peace for your home? Humans get tired but I never do. I never sleep. I am God and I can handle your life. I fit the planets in the palm of my hand. I can fit you. Adjust your life-style to honor my presence and I will bless you. Nothing, not even a mighty mountain will stand in my way to build something special through you. But you must honor me. I must come first. Come and pursue me. For it’s not by your strength and power that this will be done, but by my Spirit says the Lord.

– What key changes must you make to make more room for God?

– Are you willing to make this changes? Trust & obey. He'll make a way.

– God’s Spirit is a Spirit of wisdom. Take time to ask him to guide your steps and He will give you peace and a plan to follow.
