D2L Bug Prevents Sending Emails
We have recently become aware of a bug in D2L that prevents students from sending emails through D2L if they have a quiz pending submission. When trying to send an email, the student will see a pop up telling them they are not authorized to view that page. This error occurs even if an open quiz is pending in a different course or if the time limit for the quiz has expired. This bug would most likely cause problems for students who begin optional self-check quizzes with no end dates; students may enter the quiz and then abandon it without finishing, which would leave the quiz pending for the rest of the term.
We wanted to let you know in case you come across this problem. Contact Online Course Support at BIZD2LHELP@uwec.edu to fix the problem.

D2L Tip: Resize Textboxes
The default textboxes in D2L are often too small to be convenient for composing long passages. Luckily these boxes can easily be resized by clicking and dragging on the lower right corner. We also recommend composing long passages in Microsoft Word and then pasting that into D2L to avoid losing work in the case of a tech failure or Internet disruption.
