Announcing 2016 Graduate Endowed Scholarship Applications for the College of Education

Applications and recommendations are due by 5 pm March 4, 2016.

Students in College of Education Graduate Programs are invited to apply for scholarships which are available on a competitive basis through the College of Education. Application information is available on the College of Education Web site at http://education.msu.edu/resources/financial/grad-scholarships-fellowships.asp. This website includes guidance to the application process, the link to the application (the large rectangle at the bottom of the page below the Departmental Restricted Scholarships/Fellowships expandable heading), and an annotated list of all of the available scholarships/fellowships: All-College-Open, All-College-Restricted, and Departmental-Restricted.Start with the Graduate Student Endowed Scholarship/Fellowship link. Just Expand the links to see all of the information. 

Students may apply only for scholarships for which they meet specified criteria. Note: there are all-college scholarships (open to all currently enrolled graduate degree students) and scholarships available only to students enrolled in specific departments/programs.

You must be enrolled in a College of Education graduate degree program for the Spring, 2016 semester, and the Fall 2016 semester to be eligible to receive any scholarship. Doctoral students who hold the MSU Fellowship are not eligible during their Fellowship (First and Final) years.
 
Applications must be submitted online and no printed applications will be accepted.

Faculty recommendations are a significant part of the application. After you apply online and add your faculty recommender, he/she will receive an email with a link directing him/her to submit a recommendation online. All recommendations must be complete and entered into they system by 5pm March 4, 2016, so request a recommendation as early as possible, so your advisor has ample time to submit the recommendation. Written letters of reference will not be accepted.

Late and partial applications will be automatically discarded.

Call for 2016-2017 Applications - Residential College in the Arts and Humanities Graduate Fellowship Programs
Deadline: April 11, 2016

The Residential College in the Arts and Humanities (RCAH), in collaboration with the Graduate School at Michigan State University (MSU), announces two fellowship programs in undergraduate teaching and learning for MSU graduate students. The RCAH is an interdisciplinary college with a strong commitment to social justice, civic engagement, the visual and performing arts, and world languages and cultures. Details of both programs and the application process are attached. All applicants should be enrolled full-time in a program leading to a terminal degree in their field, be in good academic standing, and be making progress toward their degree.
 
Eligible graduate students are enrolled in programs associated with the Colleges of Arts & Letters, Music, Education, Social Science, Communications Arts and Sciences, and Agriculture and Natural Resources.

7th Annual University of Toledo Graduate Student Association Midwest Graduate Research Symposium

On behalf of the University of Toledo Graduate Student Association, I am thrilled to invite all graduate students from Michigan State University to the 7th Annual University of Toledo Graduate Student Association Midwest Graduate Research Symposium. This is a multidisciplinarymulti-university symposium which aims to promote graduate student researchers and provide opportunities for collaboration, networking, and professional development.
 
This exciting event will be held on April 9, 2016 and will take place at the University of Toledo’s Memorial Field House. Call for Applications - Summer Research Training Institute: Cluster-Randomized Trials

The National Center for Education Research (NCER) is accepting applications for its tenth Summer Research Training Institute on Cluster-Randomized Trials (CRT). NCER, a part of the Institute of Education Sciences, hosts this Training Institute to increase the capacity of researchers to develop and conduct rigorous evaluations of the impacts that education interventions have on student outcomes. Applicants will be notified of placement by Friday, May 6, 2016, via e-mail.
