February 2016

Thank you to everyone who helps SSP to help children in Swaziland receive an education.
Projects Update

The two new classrooms at Forbes Reef Primary School are in use and the photo above shows children enjoying the first class building.

Thanks to your generous donations, SSP has recently sent £9000 to the Dobsons' bursary fund to help pay school fees for children at secondary school where fees are compulsory.

In the last newsletter we mentioned Zandile Gwembu who had successfully completed her pre-school teaching course – a wonderful role model for Swazi women who left school at a very early age. See photo below of a proud Zandile receiving her diploma.

Special thanks to the Bassingham Scout Group in Lincolnshire (above) who have raised a fantastic £175 to pay for one child to attend secondary school and receive a daily meal for a whole year! The Beavers raised money by dressing as super heroes, the Cubs organised a coffee morning and the Scouts made named bracelets to sell. Thanks everyone for an amazing effort!

An early notification for you – the SSP quiz will take place on Saturday 25 June. Watch out for details in future newsletters but please get the date in your diaries.
