And in other news...Vergennes Opera House Welcomes Three New Board Members

Kate Coburn joined the FVOH board in early December. She grew up in a family of artists, poets and painters and raised two musical boys stimulated by community theater in the Lebanon, NH Opera House. Kate has always been an avid supporter of the arts and is especially interested in how the arts and creativity promote healing.  Kate is an Electronic Medical Training Specialist and lives in Vergennes with her husband Kevin.

Kevin Coburn also joined the FVOH board in early December. He became an enthusiastic supporter of the Lebanon, NH Opera House through his two children’s involvement in Community Theater.  He volunteered as a set painter, usher, and all-around “green room assistant”. It was through this work that he learned first-hand the role the arts play as a vehicle for building community and creating economic vitality.  He and his wife are “newcomers” to Vergennes, having moved here four+ years ago.

Wayne Hobbs joined the FVOH board in February. He was born and raised in the little city and as an adult traveled throughout the USA and Europe while realizing his dream as a professional singer. He returned to Vergennes a little over a year ago, securing a position at UVM Medical Center. Most recently he joined the administrative team at Porter Medical Center. Wayne brings his theatrical expertise to the board as well as a strong background in financial management and education.

If you see these Vergennes citizens out and about, be sure to say hello and "welcome" to the board!
Zumba continues in the Vergennes Opera House!
Dance the pounds away and have fun on Monday and Wednesday evenings a 6 p.m with Stacey Sherman. Contact her at 802-349-0026 or http://staceysherman.zumba.com/.
Thank you to all the folks who showed their support for the Vergennes Opera House by becoming or renewing their membership this year. Your financial support allows us to continue to offer exceptional programming while keeping the historic theater maintained and beautiful.  Come up to the lobby and see your name on our wall of super stars and supporters.
