Excel Scratch
Over the years I've held quite a few workshops and delivered seminars related to Excel and business analytics. Throughout that time I've often heard the same challenge about Excel. The challenge is typically focused on whether it can be used for sophisticated problems. I even overhead one person saying, "I need to use a software not Excel." My response often is that Excel can do more than you think. The old adage goes "Don't read a book by it's cover". Many people think they've already read the "book" on Excel. However, this book has been updated with a new ending and more characters. New additions to the arsenal like PowerPivot and PowerQuery have extended it's usefulness beyond the day to day tracking. I hope to begin talking about these tools and complex issues in future Excel Labs. Until then check out our blog posts.
Excel at Work. Excel at Business. Excel.
