Scenic Air will be basing a Cessna 210 – Single Engine Aircraft and pilot at Ongava as of 01/03/2016.
This aircraft will be available on charter and will also be available to do the following transfers:

GENERAL CONDITIONS:
- This is a seat rated flight.
- Routing will be planned according to passengers booked and their respective destinations.
- Type of Aircraft used will be dependent on to the number of passengers booked.
- NO minimum number of pax required.
- Industry Standard Weights apply. Strictly 20 kg soft luggage per person inclusive hand luggage and cameras
- Arrival and Departure times at the different lodges can vary and will be communicated with the lodges/agents at least the day before departure.
- Latest International flight arrival to connect with the Etosha Andersson Taxi is 08h50 (Summer Time)/07h50 (winter Time)
- Please take note that passengers are required to check in at least 2 hours prior to any international flight departure.
- The Etosha Andersson Taxi will start operating on the 1st of March 2016.
- Rates are VAT inclusive.
- The Etosha Andersson Taxi only operates during daylight hours. All flights take place between sunrise & sunset. Also note that Namibia has a Daylight Saving scheme.
- Fuel is a major component of the cost of this service. As such we will be unable to honour these rates should the fuel price increase substantially. Should this happen we will adjust our rates and update you.
- So too, our aircraft are maintained by reputable maintenance organizations who use genuine replacement parts. These are sourced primarily from Aircraft Manufacturers in the United States. Should the Namibian currency weaken substantially against the US$ we reserve the right to adjust our rates. You will be advised accordingly.
- The Andersson Taxi only flies in fair weather. Whilst every effort will be made to get your clients to their destination at the agreed time, Scenic Air will not jeopardize their safety. We are blessed with 300 days of sunshine per year in Namibia. Rarely does weather either delay, or at worse force us to cancel a flight. Should either of these scenarios occur, you will be advised immediately. Costs incurred due to or caused by these diversions/cancellations e.g. Extra accommodation, transfers, meals, missed flights, will be for the clients’ account. Should Scenic Air have incurred any costs, we will charge full cancellation fees or only refund partially. Weather is an act of God and not at the behest of Scenic Air. Our crew will check en-route weather and weather at the destination carefully before embarking on the flight, but these conditions change very rapidly in Namibia.
- Scenic Air reserves the right to load the aircraft & seat the passengers in an arrangement of its choosing to comply with safety considerations.
- Should you have a last minute booking, we will try our best to accommodate you, but to avoid disappointment; bookings on The Etosha Andersson Taxi should be made well in advance.
- Agents are requested to brief their clients, our passengers, about the service, conditions and restraints pertaining to the Etosha Andersson Taxi i.e. Make sure your clients know what it’s all about. If the communication with the clients ahead of time is good, expectations can be managed and this, we trust, will lead to happier clients and repeat business for you and us. Also ensure that your guests are informed about the Dangerous Goods Policy of Scenic Air (Please see Note 3.) as well as the Conditions of Carriage (CoC) that are printed on the reverse of our passenger ticket. A copy of these CoC is available at this link for your perusal (See Note 4)
- Cancellation/Change Policy on the Etosha Andersson Taxi is as follows:
- 25% of total amount if cancelled within 7 days prior to departure
- 50% of total amount if cancelled within 48 hours prior to departure
- 100% of total amount if cancelled within 24 hours prior to departure.
- If for any reason clients missed their international connecting flights and they are delayed or not arriving on the time as originally planned (short notice cancellations / changes) we will charge full cancellation fees. Having your pax change/cancel short notice means that we’ve lost their revenue on a planned flight and that we might have to fly with bigger equipment than required due to their cancellation. We will also look at each situation on its own, as it might be that we’ve got another option flying later or the next day, which then would re-validate the revenue.
- Infant Ticketing Policy – Namibian Aviation Law determines that an infant (less than 24 months) can be seated on the mother’s lap at the time of travel. Scenic Air will charge 10% of the normal adult rate for an infant under 24 months of age. Should a booking be made for an infant, Scenic Air would require a copy of the passport of the infant confirming the age on the date of travel. Kindly note that infant & mother combinations weights are based on 198 lbs / 90kg’s in total. Luggage for the combination may not exceed 20 kg’s / 44 lbs. Should parents prefer to have infants placed in “infant car seats” whilst travelling on board a Scenic Air Aircraft, the seat will be charged in full and the luggage would then be 20 kg’s/44lbs for the infant as well.
- Unaccompanied Minors: Scenic Air will only accept unaccompanied children between the ages of 12 & 18 to travel. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by at least 1 adult in an aircraft.
- Passengers with Medical conditions: Please inform Scenic Air of passengers with a medical condition e.g. respiratory problems, diabetes, heart conditions that might require special attention and/or medication. Scenic Air also needs to be informed of female passengers that is pregnant at the time of travel. Namibian Law requires a medical certificate for passengers that are past their 2nd trimester of pregnancy. Most flights are done in non-pressurized small aircraft. Scenic Air would require the medical certificate to state that passengers are cleared to fly in these types of aircraft.
- Runway conditions: Scenic Air can only operate into & out of airfields which are serviceable. Scenic Air does not own, operate or maintain any of these airfields. This places the control over as well as the condition of these airfields we utilize beyond our control. Scenic Air will not jeopardize the safety or its operations by flying into unsafe airfields. Scenic Air will be obliged to cancel a flight at short notice if it is discovered that the destination airfield is unsafe to operate into. Every effort will be sought by Scenic Air to find an alternate airfield to fly into. However, this might not always be possible & as such Scenic Air may not be held liable for any inconvenience or additional costs in this regard.
All bookings for the NSS that’s confirmed already, can be converted to the Etosha Andersson Taxi, but please confirm the change in writing with our charter co-ordinators (

Quest Kodiak 100 on this route, offering a luxury aircraft option (along with the current Caravan C208 12 seater charter aircraft). This is the most modern cutting-edge, bush-strip-capable aircraft on the market. It is equipped with the latest “glass” cockpit technology, and seats up to 9 passengers, and has a belly pod for luggage.
