e-mails from me: issue 9

This time last week I was struggling to survive my 40 hour awake journey of presenting and taking the red eye flight home from NCCE to rush to my daughters basketball tournament.

Almost fully rested I have way more to share than needed, but I have lots of goodies. To start, Raspberry Pi is hosting a second cohort of Picademy. I really want to apply and make this happen. I am also intrigued about Manifesto 15 ambassadors program. I have read this book and it is really powerful.

Another interesting read on PBL and Design Thinking. I walked away thinking that there is all this change being promoted in education, but has learning actually improved or is still teacher centric?

My favorite read of the week as there are so many loaded ideas to debate whether intentional or not.

Sign up for your free coding classes this weekend before this deal ends. Do we need students to be better consumers?

Finally found something to limit Google Form responses. On the flipside I have been considering moving my work with my robot team and projects to Slack....until I read this.

Interesting thoughts about math so I had to buy and start reading the book. I could not imagine returning to earth and I am not sure what to think about stopping innovation in schools.

I plan to watch this documentary about sugar from 2014 as I refocus my efforts on health and exercise.

Finally, as I hit a major shift in mindset due to some recent events and a AHA moment this blog post really hit home.
