GRADUATES

Kalaya and Sukanya graduated in high school last March 1. Praise God for the those years they spent in Hope House molding them into a person God wants them to be.

Sukanya came to Hope House three years ago as a strong willed girl and now developed  to become a responsible leader among our group of students. She will continue her studies in Mae Fah Luang University in ChiangRai to take up Physical Theraphy.
Kalaya, on the other hand, is like my very own daughter who wants to be a nurse like me (Apple). She's in Hope House since she enters school (Grade 1). She will continue her studies in the university and will continue staying in Hope House.

Sports Day of Hope Alive

The first Hope Alive Foundation's Sports Day was held last  February 20-21 in the primary school of our village "Baan Phranon".  It was opened by the Village's Leader and recognized that the Foundation is doing good in promoting sportmanship among the children.

Th e two days were full of fun to children and staffs. The program and all its logistics were handled by our university students. We also had worship celebration in the school.

Thank you for continually holding with us our vision to disciple the next generation
to make an impact. We thank God for your partnership with us.

                               God bless you!

Sponsor a Child

Kritawit Thanaburanarit is a 7-year old boy from a Hmong village in Tambon Maeraem, Maerim, Chiang Mai. His nickname is Paeng and he was born on April 5, 2009.

He is currently in 1st Grade at Baan Phranon School. Both of the parents have jobs that lead them to work in different places, that’s why they want their children to stay in Hope House so their studies won’t be interrupted.  Moreover, their mother said that her husband has another wife and family, which also stays in the same house as them (being the original family). She said she doesn’t want her children to see this situation on a regular basis. Paeng is the second of three children and his older brother, Naphat, is also in Hope House.

If you are interested to support Phaeng in his studies and want to know more about him, please send us a message at apple@hopealivethailand.org.

HAF Vision

“Because of the opportunities given us to see the realities of the life of the tribal people, we want to prevent the children from [becoming] at risk of human trafficking because of their ignorance, lack of education and their status in life, and ensure a brighter future for them,” says Jephte Garcia, director of Hope House. “While under our care, we want to develop the children’s self esteem and assure them of their value in God’s sight. We want them to have equal political, social, economic and educational opportunities through the reduction of family hardships and children’s vulnerability to be trafficked, and we want the isolated villages to understand the importance of education.”

We want the children experienced the joy of literacy in remote villages by sending them to school and introduce Jesus and be His witness once they go back  to their respective villages.

Changed Lives

“I’m the eldest of three children in my family. My mother is working as a meeban (house helper) while my father is in prison because of illegal drugs. In the absence of my parents, Hope House became my second home where I experienced love and acceptance. The three years I spent in Hope House taught me the father love of God and sharing about His love to other people, especially the poor and needy.”
Titinan Kiethiphaysan, 13, from the Hmong tribe

“My family is very poor. Our village is so remote. My stay in Hope House helped me to be a better person. I learned how to work and relate with others aside from my family. My daily study of God’s word assured me of God’s love for me. Thank God for this hostel and those who support it.”
Sudarat Niphanniradon, 13, from the Karen tribe
