We're Expanding!

2016 is going to be a big year for Due South Brewing Co. as we expand into the adjoining space, nearly doubling our size. Visit our website for additional details.

Featured Beer

Our rotating Dry Hopped Series Pale Ale features a different hop with each brew. The latest release showcases Mosaic hops, which add a complex blend of tropical, floral, and earthy characteristics to a beer.

You can find Dry Hopped Series Mosaic on draft and canned in 6 packs in our taproom and in limited quantities of distribution. Since the hop is different each time we brew this beer, flip the can to see the featured hop stamped on the bottom.

Want to help us pick the hops to use in future beers? Join us 3/16/16 for Pales in Comparison. Your vote counts! Brewery founder and president, Mike, will lead small groups through a blind tasting of 4 beers, you vote for your favorite, and discuss the characteristics of each hop. Purchase your $10 ticket in advance in the taproom or at this link.

Due South Employee Spotlight

Our featured employee this month is our Taproom Manager, Stephen. From coordinating events to helping out behind the bar, he's got his thumb on the pulse of Due South. If you have ideas for us as we work on our expanded taproom, he's the guy you should tell.

What got you interested in craft beer?
I've always been a big "Beerhead"  but 9 years ago when I moved down here my good buddy Jason opened my eyes to some delicious craft beer from all over the country in addition to making some great home brews at the house. South Florida's local scene caught up soon after and it was awesome to meet some of the founders of these great local breweries early on, like being one of the first to try Due South back in 2011 at Treasure Coast Beer Fest before the tap room had even opened.

Part of your job description is to do "whatever is deemed necessary". What has been the most interesting interpretation of that job duty?
I'm sure most would assume I would say driving back from Kentucky with 80 Bourbon Barrels, but I'm more of a "team" guy and that was a solo trip. A few months back, I started the day working behind the bar and doing tours, when the shift was over I got a call from Brian, our sales rep. He had asked me earlier in the week if I could possibly help him that night since we were hosting 2 events at the same time. " Just show up and set up the taps for them, that's it." Sure no problem, only it was so busy I ended up pouring beer all night, Brian finally had to throw me out around 12:30am! Then I got to watch the rest of the Misfits show with some of our bar staff before calling it a day. #teamduesouth

What's your favorite "customer feedback" comment?
I never get tired of the great customer feedback we get, but when it's an event that I really worked hard on it makes me feel great when the guests tell me what a great time they're having.

Considering the new space and expansion Due South is about to have, what do you think is going to be the biggest impact on the taproom customer experience?
Obviously the air conditioning in the summertime, but I also know we are going to work very hard to keep the same "feel" of the brewery. Coming in and smelling the brew and hearing the cans being canned up, it's something you don't get to experience in many tap rooms. Setting up the new space to more efficiently host events is what I'm exited about, I know there's been talks about private party rooms and possibly a dog friendly patio, which will make many of our guests very happy.

Due South headed up north to Jacksonville in November of 2015. Since our first introduction to this new territory, V Pizza in Mandarin has been a strong supporter of our beer.

Known for their awesome pizzas and great wings, V Pizza Mandarin boasts a killer beer garden/patio and exhibits a true commitment to local beer.

Category 5 has been a tremendous hit; but don’t be surprised to see other Due South beers such as Café Ole, The Dry Hopped Series Pale, Cat 4 IPA, and Mariana Trench.

On Thursday April 28th, Due South will be hosting a Patio Party at V Pizza Mandarin. Come join us for five Due South beers, local music, and some truly unforgettable pizza. It should be a stellar time!
