Many congratulations go to Sarah, Matthew, Vicki and the whole TRAC team for this, a well deserved example of a company being proactive, innovative and great role models in business.
Wow! This year we had over 24 nominations for the Health Champion of the Year, which was fantastic!  It was a tough decision for the panel.

Often key people or a team of key people are the real champions who ensure things happen and health and wellbeing stay on the agenda with many opportunities organised and support on offer.
Ben Payton, HMRC St Austell Health Champion of the Year

"Ben has been a driving force in promoting Workplace Health in our office for a couple of years. His enthusiasm is exceptional, encouraging many people to do things outside their comfort zone, including me from never having run in my life, to doing a 5K challenge and joining the local running club!! He has organised events within the office including individual NHS Health checks, How to Eat well, even a demonstration with “Beer Goggles” on how alcohol affects your body and senses. Ben not only promotes local and National events within the offices weekly newsletter but also sets an example by cycling to work and taking part in cycling events around the County. Thanks to Ben’s enthusiasm, our office has had teams joining the Get Active challenge, Rainbow Run, Santa Run and various Triathlons and has high hopes of repeating our Gold Award again this year!"

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust - Best Newcomer 2016

A new award last year, which recognises great progress in the first year of engaging and working with the healthy workplace programme. CPFT has made huge strides this year with a Health & Wellbeing Strategy which clearly demonstrates the commitment to this agenda which is being led by Sharon Linter and Sophie Scott. There is clear support and involvement from the top which has been evident from the start and with over 60 locations across the county it is a difficult task however a health and wellbeing group with a wide range of staff members and good numbers attending with rotation of meetings have ensured a promising start with staff involvement and initiatives being set up.  There have been 2 specific locations were staff based on site have really grabbed opportunities and have been instrumental in pushing the health and wellbeing agenda of staff forward – a special mention to Coleen, Jamie and Sharon.  The organisations approach, honesty and commitment has been impressive, an exciting year ahead.  Well Done!
