What will happen to the library
now that the town offices have moved?

We're staying here.

We want to preserve and restore the historic aspects of this local landmark and provide much needed additional space for books, media, and places to read, study, and learn. There are essential and urgent updates needed to make the building accessible, improve energy efficiency, and create the space that will serve our current and future community needs.

Plans for the expansion and renovation include:
  • A new elevator and street level entrance will allow library access for seniors, parents with strollers, and people with disabilities
  • Increased space for books, movies, and programs
  • A community meeting room, a teen room, and a new children's room
  • Renovated study areas
  • Energy efficient updates and two new restrooms
  • Restored historic architecture
Fundraising is currently underway. For more information contact the library at 802-763-7094 or librarian@royaltonlibrary.org.
