Assembly Decides On a Smorgarsbord of Bills: Focus On Energy
On March 15 the Wisconsin Senate will act on AB 804/ SB 654, a bill that would cut $7.2 million from the Focus On Energy program that provides residents and businesses with incentives for energy efficiency and renewable energy.  FOE created 2,000 jobs annually and generated more than $600 million in economic benefits for the state between 2011 and 2014, according to the 2015 Focus On Energy Impacts Study

Wind Turbine Project Planned for Lafayette Country Township
As many as 49 wind turbines will be installed in Seymour Township in 2017, boosting Wisconsin's wind energy presence and bringing jobs to the area.

Dairyland Announces Major Solar Projects in Wisconsin!
Dairyland has power purchase agreements in place for 12 new solar facilities to be sited in Wisconsin.

Excel Energy Announces Plans for Wisconsin's Largest Community Solar Garden Program
Xcel Energy plans to purchase up to three megawatts of electricity from community solar arrays. The first two megawatts are planned for Eau Claire and La Crosse counties.

Supreme Court Stays Clean Power Plan
On February 9, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a stay of the Clean Power Plan (CPP).  The court's decision does not overturn the CPP, but stalls its implementation while lawsuits challenging the legality of the plan are decided by the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals.

Governor Scott Walker Issues Executive Order Barring State Agencies from Developing 111(d) Plan
Governor Scott Walker issued Executive Order #186 prohibiting state agencies, departments, boards, commissions, or any of their agents from developing or promoting the development of a state plan to comply with the Clean Power Plan until the expiration of the stay issued by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Focus On Energy Renewable Energy Revolving Loan
Focus On Energy's Renewable Energy Revolving Loan pilot program offers $5 million in 2016 for 0% interest loans for up to 50% of a total project loan up to $50,000 for residential and small businesses solar and geothermal projects, and up to $500,000 for commercial & industrial qualified renewable energy projects.  Customers select a bank/lending entity work with Youtube.
