NRF Presents the Inaugural Harvest Food Festival
April 21 - 24

Autumn is upon us and in the abundant food bowl of our Northern Rivers region we have plenty to celebrate - and harvest! For this reason NRF is proud to announce an exciting new festival to our region – Harvest Food Festival. The inaugural Harvest Food Festival kicks off April 21-24th 2016, promising a celebration of our abundant, fabulous local food & amazing food producers.

From paddock to plate and seed to flower, the Harvest Food Festival will offer our community an opportunity to connect with local food producers and celebrate our abundant local food - Northern Rivers style.

Food lovers will be taken on a culinary journey across the region and NRF encourages people to attend at least one or all events this April – sample fresh and beautifully prepared food by renowned local chefs, hear how it is grown and pay homage to our much loved local food producers!

So what can you expect?  NRF Harvest Food Festival offers four glorious days of events covering our vast and beautiful region, including an outstanding welcome dinner at 100 Mile Table, an epic food tour discovering local macadamia, native bush foods and coffee farms, a beautiful sunset dinner on the river at Ballina where you’ll learn how to shuck your own oysters while gaining insight from a marine biologist into our local, sustainable seafood industry and a fabulous Big Harvest Picnic celebration in the dramatic foothills of Mt Warning, at Mavis’s Kitchen.  There really is something for everyone to celebrate and enjoy at our Harvest Food Festival.
