The 2016 MTNA National Conference is almost here!
It's exciting to think, in just a few short weeks, seventeen IMTA members will be soaking up the Texas sun, alongside icons such as Emanuel Ax and Seymour Bernstein. For those of you attending (and for the curious at heart!), be sure to mark the following Indiana-related activities on your calendars!
Saturday, April 2nd:
- Junior Performance Competitions begin at 8:15am, including Indiana's very own Maya Kilburn, competing in Junior Strings! Best wishes to Maya, along with parents and collaborators Ray and Yoko, for a successful competition!
Sunday, April 3rd:
- IMTA President-Elect, Amy Chaplin, will present her session, The Wild West of Marketing: How Do You Know What Really Works? at 2:15pm.
- Plan to attend the East Central Division meeting from 5:00-6:00 to find out more of what's happening in our state and beyond! Need more enticement? There will be a raffle (hint: we're bringing CHOCOLATE!).
- Indiana attendees will meet for a nightcap at 8:30pm, following the screening of Seymour: An Introduction (registered members, keep an eye on your inbox for further details!).
Monday, April 4th:
- IMTA President, Christina Whitlock, will present her session, The Varsity Musician's Playbook: Commitment-Building Strategies from Team Sports to the Studio at 9:55am.
