What's going on...LIFE CHANGE
We are in the midst of our Encounter Winter Teen Camps and have seen God surprise us in so many cool and life changing ways. Over 1800 teens and youth leaders from all over New England have been impacted by their experience here, with 400 still yet to come.
Our approach to ministry is changing to meet the felt needs of those we serve here in New England. We are going back to our roots by making Christ our inspiration and relationships our emphasis. This approach is nothing new for a ministry that has been around for over 50 years. We're putting everything we do up to a test: does it glorify God, fulfill our charter and mission, and meet the needs of those we serve? If so, we'll give it all we've got!
We are seeing God bless us in amazing ways as we put greater emphasis on relationships and quality over quantity. If Jesus could use twelve people to change the world, then it's not about numbers - it's about people.
Our financial picture is looking stronger and stronger each day; we are seeing kids commit their lives to Christ each weekend; we are seeing youth groups and leaders strengthened; but most importantly we are seeing Christ glorified.
A couple of testimonies: "...We were changed. We were all changed. Even leaders who have been coming since they were teens were changed. This experience was profound...the experience of real results. The newfound compassion and appreciation, not only for each other, but for Christ.
We returned to the next Session as a new group. A group that got it. A group that felt Jesus and was determined to seek Him out as a result. There was still pain, there was still emotional exhaustion, but there was hope...We are LIT. We are grateful." - Children's and Family Ministries Director
"What dominated our discussion was the idea of of not changing when we got back and the kids went to school, and how to not go back to being the same (staying lit)...we have a lot of kids who seem far more impacted this year than in previous years, and we had a great time." - Youth Leader
Something is different this year. Something is happening. As we dig deep into our heritage, it feels as if a beautiful spring is coming, full of His Spirit and voice.
We'll be here and we'll be ready! May Monadnock Bible Conference be a place that invites you to hear His voice in fullness this spring, and for many seasons to come.
What happens when you share your brokenness with 200+ teens?
