Touch-A-Truck on April 16

Join us at Maryknoll Park from 10am-12pm
Touch-A-Truck offers hundreds of children and their families the opportunity to sit-in, touch, discover and safely explore their favorite big trucks and things on wheels.

New to the event this year will be a kiddie trackless train. Families may purchase a ride for $1 per person. Touch-A-Truck will also feature prize raffles, a bounce house, and more. Don't forget to bring an empty aluminum can so you can watch it get crushed at our steamroller demonstration at 11am! Learn more

Earth Day Celebration

Theme: Sustainable Landscaping
Join us on Friday, April 22 from 6-8pm for the Earth Day Celebration at Maryknoll Park. Enjoy the "Eco-Expo" filled with earth-friendly groups sharing ideas and inspiration, a nature scavenger hunt, night sky viewing with telescopes, and other activities. Plus, three informational Q&A sessions will be featured. This event is free and open to the public.

Park District Settles Lawsuit
A settlement agreement has been reached by all parties involved in the dispute over the Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center roof. Under the terms of the Settlement Agreement approved by the Board of Commissioners at its March 22, 2016 meeting, the Glen Ellyn Park District will receive an aggregate total benefit of $450,000 comprised of payments from various parties totaling $250,000, together with the release and dismissal of claims for payment asserted against the Park District by various contractors totaling $190,000 (plus a waiver of $10,000 in attorney fees incurred in the court-ordered mediation process leading to the settlement). Park District Fills Board Vacancy
The Glen Ellyn Park District is pleased to announce that Rob Weber has been selected to fill the vacant Board of Commissioners position at the Park District. Rob has lived in Glen Ellyn for twelve years with his wife and three children who attend District 41 schools and Glenbard West High School. Read more
