Your State Conference Committee is hard at work planning an enjoyable weekend! We hopethat you will attend and bring a guest or family member to help celebrate DCDAR's accomplishments during the past year.

MARCH MEETING HIGHLIGHTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS 
  • This month's meeting was a wonderful guided tour of the historical Sewell-Belmont House which was the Headquarter's of the National Women's Party and home of the Women's Suffrage Movement. 
  • The chapter approved a $100 donation from the Capitol Chapter toward outgoing DC State Regent Ann Schaeffer's gift. Personal donations are also being accepted. You are invited to include a note or card expressing your appreciation but are asked to leave the back blank so that it can be included in a scrapbook. If you would like to contribute you can send a check by April 15th to: Janet McFarland, DCDAR State Vice Regent, 1307 Warrington Place, Alexandria, VA, 22307-2055.
  • The chapter also approved an $80 donation for Americanism for the Naturalization committee to purchase 2000 cards with the Pledge of Allegiance on the front and the American's Creed on the back.  The cards are given at Naturalization Court to America's newest citizens. 
  • The application for Annalyse Keller was signed to become a DAR and member of the Capitol Chapter. 
  • Sign up as a page at the DC DAR State Conference and the Continental Congress. State Conference is May 5th - 7th in Rosslyn, VA, and Continental Congress is June 15th - 19th at the DAR building here in DC. Paging Information
  • Register to run or walk the Bright Beginnings 5K at West Potomac Park, Washington, DC on April 30th at 8am. Fill out your information and select "Team Peacock".   Register here
