Truly exciting news from South Dakota - from the state that brought you one of the first state Amendments against marriage equality, the (rare, common-sense) Republican governor has vetoed hatful "bathroom" legislation.

World News

Italy failed to pass adoption for gay people last week in a broader civil unions bill, yet courts have allowed at least one adoption (thus far) this week by a lesbian couple.

A gay German MP, and major marriage equality advocate from the Greens party resigned after being arrested and accused of possessing illegal drugs, allegedly meth.

Don't plan on ever having legal sex in Senegal - apparently the law won't change, if the current president has his way. Yet in Cameroon, a lawyer is arguing for the repeal of his country's anti-sex law!

Does tourism work? Or UN pressure? The Seychelles will legalize sexual relations between all consenting adults, previously gay sex was punishable by 14 years in prison.

Kyrgyzstan LGBT rights advocates met with US leaders in DC last week, hoping to discuss efforts to stop the anti-gay "propaganda" law that will likely pass a third time soon, and move to the country's President for his signature.
