Glasgow ESOL Forum’s Workplace ESOL Project is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to assist in the development and delivery of ESOL for Employability and Workplace ESOL classes. Your role will be to liaise with sessional tutors and learners, assist in the planning of courses and ensure that monitoring tasks are carried out to a high standard.

All applicants will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have an ESOL qualification (CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL) with experience of teaching adults.  This is a temporary position until September 2016 (with possible extension to June 2017, subject to funding which is currently being applied for).

Forestry Commission Scotland: Central Scotland Conservancy

As Scotland’s communities become more diverse, this means finding the best ways of engaging with people from many different sections of society.

Central Scotland Conservancy is working proactively towards ensuring that individuals from all sections of society are equally able to enjoy and benefit from the opportunities that Forestry Commission Scotland provides through public woodlands and forests.

Requirements: We are looking for a company / organisation to assist in the delivery of the Central Scotland Engagement programme. This will involve two key areas of work outlined below:

Development
Working closely with the Engagement Officer you will identify protected characteristic groups / individuals that would like to access woodlands. For example this could be through activities such as herbal walks, faith celebration events, environmental art or bush craft skills.
•             Develop woodland sessions/projects in close collaboration with up to 10 community groups.
•             Attend and assist FCS staff at promotional events including evening and weekends.
•             Through a partnership with CEMVO we are funding a Volunteer Development Officer who will mentor and support 10 community champions. You will provide support to the co-ordinator where required.
•             Assist with the administration of the Engagement Programme.  This will include working from the Hamilton office on such tasks as compiling end of project reports and monitoring and feedback forms.
•             Based on 2 or 3 days a week for up to 6 months with the majority of the work between April and September 2016.


Delivery
It is expected that you will co-ordinate and deliver up to 10 woodland sessions for the groups that you collaborate with. This will include supplying all staff required to deliver the sessions or events. 
As way of an example please briefly describes a woodland session you would deliver with a minority ethnic group who have never visited woodland before. The group size would be 25, 15 adults and 10 children aged 5-12 years old.  The session has to last 4 hours.

Please submit an expression of interest detailing your relevant experience in working with diverse groups and delivering woodland activities. 
Please include costs for: Development : daily, half day and hourly  rate including  travel costs. Delivery based on your example above, including all staff costs for any additional instructors.  

You will be required to have public liability insurance, PVG Disclosure, outdoor first aid certificate.

What’s involved?
NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde is looking for eight people to join its Board.  These are rewarding and worthwhile opportunities that will take up around 8 hours a week and last for up to 4 years.  In return, you will be paid £8,088 a year. You will also get reasonable travel and subsistence costs, dependant-carer expenses, including childcare, and support to help you carry out your duties.

Who can apply?
We want to hear from people with a diverse range of skills, backgrounds and knowledge.  You do not need to be a health expert or have previous experience of being on a Board. You do need to have a commitment to helping us improve the health and wellbeing of the people living in Greater Glasgow & Clyde.

Work With Us To Help Tackle Low Pay In Scotland

The Living Wage has been one of the most successful civil society campaigns in Scotland and the UK in recent years. Not only has it won cross party political support, and gained increased acceptance amongst employers, it has also delivered tangible benefits for thousands of workers.

We are now looking for maternity cover for the post of Living Wage Programme Manager- Scotland.

This post will be based at the Poverty Alliance in Glasgow and is an exciting opportunity to make a real contribution to this work. The post is 35 hours per week and will be fixed term for 9 months with possibility of extension. Secondments will be considered.

Post: Living Wage Programme Manager (LWPM16)

The Living Wage Programme Manager is responsible for co-ordinating the ongoing development and delivery of the Scottish Living Wage Accreditation Initiative. The successful candidate will lead a small staff team that work on engaging with employers across Scotland on Living Wage Employer accreditation and will play a crucial role in ensuring that more employers and workers benefit from the Living Wage.

This involves engaging with a range of stakeholders across Scotland, monitoring and reporting on the progress of the Initiative, and managing the day-to-day delivery of the Initiative. It includes working with key employer stakeholders in our Leadership Group, as well as engaging with officials in Scottish Government. The Living Wage Programme Manager also leads on the coordination of Scottish activities with our partners in the Living Wage Foundation.

The post of Living Wage Programme Manager will suit an individual who has managerial experience and experience in engaging with employers, but also a strong commitment to social justice and a desire to tackle in-work poverty.

GCVS is a dynamic and forward-thinking voluntary sector development agency which provides information, advice, training and practical, professional support to 1,000 voluntary and community groups in Glasgow. As well as being a key part of the Glasgow Third Sector Interface, we coordinate the voluntary sector’s input to policy and planning and work in strategic partnerships with all the major players in regeneration, health, learning and economic development within Glasgow.

GCVS has been running a new project since June 2015– Community Connectors –the key aims are to help older people have better access to better information and, if they so wish, to help them look at what they need to live healthier and happier lives as independently as possible.  

The Community Connectors programme is delivered in partnership with the Glasgow & West of Scotland Housing Forum, working alongside local and citywide organisations to strengthen information links between the Third Sector, older people, carers and statutory services.  The model has been rolled out in the three locality sectors within Glasgow and staff will operate from a partner Housing Association based in the community.

The programme is funded by Glasgow’s Health and Social Care Integrated Care Fund. We now require recruiting for the following post:

Term: Fixed-term contract until end of March 2017 (with the likelihood of a further year extension funding permitting)
Location: Based in Queens Cross Housing Association

Reporting to, and working closely with the Community Connector Practitioner, the Programme Administrators will play a key role in the efficient running of the Community Connectors Programme. 

This role extends beyond the run of the mill administrative tasks. You will be the first point of contact for the programme so the ability to liaise and communicate in a friendly, effective and informative manner with older people, their carers, colleagues, partners and stakeholders is essential for this post.

Applicants should demonstrate the ability to maintain and manipulate databases, effectively disseminate information, provide accurate and up-to-date financial records and assist with meetings, events and activities that are organised by the Community Connectors Programme team. 

PVG Scheme membership is required for these posts.

Substantial knowledge and understanding of the social policy considerations that are relevant to the Commission's work in Scotland is also essential.

The Senior Lawyer must be able to communicate complex legal concepts and advice in compelling and accessible language to different audiences, and will have experience of building and managing effective relationships with partners.

Scottish Rowing is the Governing body for Rowing within Scotland and organises two major regattas each year as well as the Scottish Indoor Rowing Championships. The Domestic Regatta Organising Committee is made up entirely of Volunteers and we are always seeking more enthusiastic members for this group.  We also have volunteering opportunities for seasonal events.
