EXPRESS YOURSELF CREATIVELY
Art Team Events

AN INTERVIEW WITH. . .
YOU?
We haven't had a new interview with column in recent weeks because I haven't been able to recruit anyone. So, how about being the subject of the next one? I'll ask a few simple questions. This is one of our most popular features, introducing us to congregants and helping us to see how broad are the ministries of this church. There are three interview options: This one for a focus on your work. This focuses on volunteering outside the church. And this one focuses on volunteering within the congregation.
FEED YOUR SPIRIT
WORSHIP NEWS
Our Holy Week Events begin with this coming Sunday's Palm Sunday service and the parade of palms. Scott will be preaching "Triumphal Entry" from Luke 19:28-40. "Saving the Lost" was last Sunday's sermon.

BUILD RELATIONSHIPS
CONGREGATIONAL CARE NEWS
Want to know more about the church? Interested in joining? You are invited to "Church Chat," Sunday, March 20 following worship in the Pastor's Study. Grab a coffee and donut in the parlor and join us for conversation as we share our story and answer your questions.

Want to meet more folks at First Central? A great way is to participate in our next Conversational Dinner on Sunday, April 3 at 6 p.m. We'll have a potluck dinner in members’ homes for 8-10 people. If you would like to participate, let us know.

Don't forget to register for the All-Church Retreat before March 27. More info here.

CHANGE THE WORLD
OUTREACH NEWS
Well be serving dinner at the Siena/Francis House homeless shelter this coming Friday, March 18. Contact Gary McConnell to volunteer or for more information.

We continue to receive items for the Refugee family and are awaiting word from Lutheran Family Services when our family will arrive. At that point we will set-up the apartment, put out specific requests for clothing and food, and prepare to welcome them to Omaha!

Consider joining the Shield-a-Badge program as we pray daily for First Responders. Learn more.

PURSUE WISDOM
EDUCATION NEWS
Third Wednesday Family Night is March 16 with dinner beginning at 5:30 and our opening worship at 6:05. Phase One for March will explore Gifts and Talents.

"We all fall short and that’s the beautiful part. Broken, flawed, vulnerable people like you and me, are invited to be the hands and feet of a Jesus who loves us exactly as we are and yet, loves us way too much to let us stay that way.” Youth Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. in the Computer Lab.

Saturday, March 19 the Youth Group will attend a Hawaiian Luau at Creighton. Contact Kendra for more information and to reserve your spot

This Sunday we'll complete the series First Light: Jesus & the Kingdom of God in First Forum at 9:15 a.m.
