Dom’s has reopened after its annual winter hiatus, and you know what that means: sangria. Oh, and hopefully a little thing called spring and its warmer temps.

You never thought you would see the poop emoji in a newsletter from your alma mater, but it just happened. That’s because biology lab just got a whole lot more personal as part of a unique hands-on microbiome discovery initiative on campus. #science

SPEAKING OF WHICH

(Of science, that is.) Ecology and Evolutionary Biology faculty member (and my very own freshman-year Animal Behavior professor!) Elizabeth Tibbetts was recently selected for a national “Accidental Brilliance” award for her discovery of facial recognition among wasps. Go Dr. Tibbetts, Go!

No, seriously. Not only do I get to write to you all each week, but I also travel the country meeting hundreds of fascinating College alumni. And I’m not gonna lie: It’s pretty fun. Lucky for you, we’re looking for my replacement.
