Community is a powerful word and a community is capable of powerful things. This month we're welcoming in March with an intention close to our hearts. Kula is a Sanskrit word meaning home, family, or community of the heart, a perfect expression of our vision of a unified and interconnected fractal.

Thank you for being a part of this growing Kula!

The sun sets & the new moon rises over Lake Atitlán, Guatemala,
the heart of our Kula Community.

It is a powerful thing to reach out to community. The simple and sometimes vulnerable act of offering a piece of ourselves can invite others to do the same, expressing the commonality at the center of community.  Last week we had the opportunity to bring our Kula to Envision Festival, a transformational event in Costa Rica, renowned for its commitment to sustainability, free-thinking and conscious living. Kula Collective shared our passions by gifting healing sessions, coaching and ceremonial cacao at the #KulaLounge. As we opened ourselves in this way, we were delighted to welcome new friends into our Kula, many of whom were spontaneously inspired to share their gifts of sound healing, acro-yoga, music and healing touch alongside us. Together we co-created a safe space to relax, share, and find meaningful connection with others.

When we offer something that is meaningful to us, we begin to create our community from the inside, out.  Recognizing the commonality of our experience creates community in itself… and through that we find the fellowship that lets us know we belong.

Blessings of love & light,

Jessi Luna, CJ Ananda,
Saraswati Hayley Tennyson, Bonnie Norton,
Jiya Randall, Randi Schiffman,
Zachary Towne-Smith and Coby Hadas

As the New Moon fades into the night,
we find the perfect conditions for self-reflection:

What part do we play in our community?
In which ways does this contribute to our sense of belonging?

To help unify our communities let’s share meaningful pieces of ourselves:

Visit our Facebook to share with our Kula how you're creating community!

As the moon's light grows, so shall our intentions:
Can you commit to build your Kula over the next two weeks?

Transformation. Harmony. Permaculture`
with Jessi Luna, Bonnie Norton, & Zachary Towne Smith
July 20th - August 13th 2016
In Bali, every moment is sacred, every moment can be breathtaking. We start our day with what is real, filled with the power of nature:  we wake with the sun, we breathe with the sounds, we meditate in this flourishing space and we move with these natural flows… and bit by bit, we re-synchronize ourselves to the rhythms of the earth.

In accordance with this vision we will be offering the opportunity to participate in a unique Permaculture Design Certification program that will extend your time at Jiwa Damai both before and after the training.

Yes-man / No-man
by Coby Hadas
‘No’… it’s such a simple sound to make and yet often so hard to say. Those who have difficulty making this simple sound are the yes-men of the planet. Saying ‘no’, they fear, may make someone not like them. If they say ‘no’ they may be perceived as unkind or mean. Due to this fear, a yes-man will often put other’s needs before their own. Generosity and kindness, they feel, is more important than their own wellbeing.
