Due to the success of the new Ormsby GTR range made in partnership with WMI, we opened up the idea of developing a new Multiscale bass lineup. We are proud to announce that lineup is now ready for release :)
Around five weeks ago we got together with 50 avid bass enthusiasts, and talked about what they would want in the ultimate bass instrument. We discussed timbers, preamps, number of strings, and even voted on designs and colours. It was fun!

I'm proud of what we have come up with:
Swamp Ash body in three finishes, Laminated maple neck with carbon fiber reinforcement, Maple or Ebony fretboard (model depending), Darkglass active preamp to enhance both full size humbucking pickups, and single string fully adjustable saddles all wrapped up with 4, 5 and 6 string Multiscale formats!
Pricing is extremely sharp, being:

Other news:
The GTR Run One has landed, with the container expected within 48 hours to our workshop. From there we handle the final quality control (first round is done within the factory in South Korea by us), complete setups and restring, and package for postage worldwide. If you have a first run order in place, we will be emailing you within two weeks to confirm your details for postage. You can view photos and video of the factory, and see the final prototypes in action by joining our GTR Discussion group.
Run Two, which includes the TX models, and a seconf run of HypeGTRs, has just moved into production this morning. We are hoping for photos today which will be uploaded to the GTR group, here: GTR DISCUSSION GROUP
Run Three will include both SX GTR models, and one special HypeGTR model in a satin finished natural Swamp Ash (and 6,7 and 8 strings). We predict this model will be popular, due to the number of requests we get for it :) Run three will be announced in the coming weeks.
CustomShop News:
We have been working EXTREMELY hard to push through our waiting list. The days of 2.5-3 years waits are now long behind us, with the current lead time for new orders (if placed today) being under six months. HOWEVER, we are not taking on any orders right this moment. In the coming months we will have a lot of news about how we will move forwards on full CustomShop orders, including shorter runs produced more often (eg: less orders per run, runs built with a quicker turnaround). We will also be building more 'in-stock' guitars to let us spread our creative wings.
We will also be announcing a new lineup: The SemiCustom range. We are currently negotiating the finer details, but these will be built in partnership: USA made CNC bodies and necks, with completion by the Ormsby team in Australia. We cannot reveal too much more than that, but when we do, I think you'll be quite impressed with the names we are bringing on board ;)

SemiCustom: Woodwork completed via CNC within a well respected USA customshop, with fretwork, electronics, finish, and assembly by us in Australia. Available via a premium dealer network worldwide (soon!)
CustomShop Runs: Personally ordered guitars built to your specifications within the 'run framework', eg: Hypemachines. Handmade entirely within Australia by Perry Ormsby and his team of two (Jett and Sophia). Available via Elite level dealers network worldwide (soon!)
Full CustomShop: Absolutely no holds barred, anything goes, entirely handmade. Extremely limited numbers annually. Entirely handbuild by Perry Ormsby, with minor assistance from his team. Available direct from factory only.
